    On 9th March 2024, BBA students, accompanied by faculty members, embarked on an industrial visit to Roots Industries India Private Limited, Coimbatore. Departing from the college at 7:15 AM, the group was eager to gain firsthand insight into the workings of a modern manufacturing unit.

    Visit Details:

    • Initial Briefing:
      Upon arrival, Mr. P. Rajkumar provided a comprehensive overview of Roots Industries, introducing the company’s core functions and corporate culture. This briefing set the context for the day’s activities.

    • Departmental Tour:
      Students were split into two groups:

      • Group 1: Visited the machine sharp department, where they observed the precision and technology behind the sharpening processes.
      • Group 2: Explored the assembly department, witnessing the systematic assembly and testing of horns.

      After completing the initial rounds, the groups switched departments to ensure that all students had the opportunity to experience both aspects of the manufacturing process.

    • Process Observation:
      The entire production process—from assembly to testing—was illustrated in detail. The students were able to observe real-time operations, gaining a clear understanding of the technical and operational aspects that drive manufacturing at Roots Industries.

    The Department of BBA organized an industrial visit to MILKYMIST over two days, providing students with hands-on exposure to the dairy processing industry. The visit was meticulously planned to bridge theoretical learning with practical industry operations.

    Day 1 & 2 Activities:
    At 10:30 AM on both days, we were warmly received by the industry officials. They provided a brief introduction to the facility, outlined the expected disciplinary conduct, and set the stage for an informative tour. Students were grouped into pairs and escorted by dedicated coordinators to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each process.

    We had the opportunity to tour two distinct plants within the facility. The first plant focused on the initial stages of milk processing, while the second showcased the intricate process of cheese manufacturing. Each segment of the visit was carefully explained in simple, clear terms, making the complex procedures easily understandable.

    Key Learnings:

    • Milk Processing: Students observed how raw milk is treated, processed, and packaged, gaining insight into quality control and hygiene standards.
